I think your parents are just trying to help in that “I a parent” way with the knowledge they have. They love you and want to help you with your goals, but might not have the right ideas for you. They see you upset and and trying to problem solve with what they have at their disposal.. Yeah, I love this girl and really care for her, but deep down I know she not the one.
