At the point, I suggest “whatever works”, in the sense that many missions or forms of getting income can have various bugs or caveats. For example, box delivery missions can be lucrative if you pick up a bunch of boxes going to the same place, but the boxes on some servers will fall through your ship without sticking the only known workaround being to hop server “instances” (regions if necessary) to find one where they stick inside your ship. Bounty missions pay well, but with spazzy enemy fighter pilot AI, and if you in a starter ship that can equip autogimbals, you may have a really frustrating time wearing their shields down (since all shields seem to be stronger than before in this patch).
