I have fallen to the same trap I signed up for insurance about a week after getting my puppy, after careful research. The puppy had diarrhea within 10 days of signing up for the insurance, and this diarrhea issue ended up being chronic (still being treated 2 months later) and the insurance will not cover it as it is considered a preexisting condition since it happened during the waiting period now they will not cover anything that related to diarrhea as the main cause. I already poured well over $1000 dollars into trying to figure out the cause with the vets and none of it is covered..
