That pack also has storage pockets in the hip belt, and not just one but three ways to access the inner compartment: through the top, through the U zipper, or through a zipper on the bottom (to put a tent/sleeping bag/whatever in the bottom without having to pull out everything).Both packs have big zippered side pockets, and they all have what I think is ingenious: pass through storage for long items behind the side pockets! You can see my trekking poles behind the side pocket in this photo here.There are a few lashing points for external stuff, but not nearly as much as a MOLLE pack allows of course. In this photo of the Redcloud, you can see those two grey loops near the bottom, and the grey side handles (that let you carry the pack like a duffel bag) can also serve as attachment points, and there are additional lashing points on the bottom of the pack to attach a tent/sleeping pad/whatever. But that more of an issue with the Redwing 50 the Redcloud 90 is pretty spacious and I don foresee needing to lash stuff to the outside.One of these days I love to design my own pack that has the best of all worlds.
bobby backpack I've had a tough time coming up with where the Synik series fits in against the Synapse series in terms of the product lineup, but I think I've got something here. The Synik 22, for my carry style, feels like a Synapse 19+: it's a less utilitarian bag, with a few small quality of life improvements (that have a much more outsize effect on how the bag is to carry), but I don't think it necessarily replaces the Synapse 19. Going forward this will definitely be my bag for anything longer than an overnight trip, and it may sneak its way into my EDC load out more often than I expect..bobby theft proof backpack
