It is a low effort post. Post should include details of the trip or theft proof backpack at minimum engaging questions asked in comments. Some common details to include are mileage, gear, number of days, location, or route taken. I don even have a classroom budget. bobby backpack When I go up we always single portage and cover a fair amount of ground, so a portage pack is perfect because we can get most of the bulk and weight in there, and then whoever is carrying the canoe usually just has a lighter, smaller day pack, maybe a lighter portage pack for a long or heavy trip. It possible to be up and carrying everything across the portage within 30 seconds or so of getting there with this setup, and equally as quick on the other side, which is especially nice when there are other groups crowding the portage ends. Even a heavy and bulky portage pack with a hip belt is still going to be more maneuverable and comfortable than a canoe on a portage, so it makes sense to load up the weight in it.bobby backpack
