I don use a net tent with it since there no bugs when it raining and I don usually pitch the tarp if it not raining. Instead I just try to choose bug free sites away from water with a slight breeze, and if they still bad I wear wind pants, long sleeve shirt, and headnet to keep them away without being confined to a net tent. I often sleep in a 4.6oz borah bivy but it a bit of a luxury, not a necessity if you on a budget..
