Yes, VA panels are slow, but have great contrast. TN panels have terrible colors and viewing angles, however are extremely fast. IPS has fantastic colors, however the AU Optronics panel used in the 144Hz range has terrible bleed and glow (curious if the latest LG27 quoted is better, sounds like a new panel finally)..
