For what it worth, I think supporting is much more fun in DotA than in League. People will say supports don do as much, but odds are they don understand what good supports can do. LoL supports are similar to DotAs 5 position (hard supports), but we also have the 4 position (soft supports they now being called) which tend to be a mix of support and core roles so you might enjoy that one..
