The first important thing, ensure that the truck you are using is fully capable of towing your caravan. Not all vehicles can be towed in this manner. Connect the electrical plug from the trailer to its port or plug on the tow vehicle. There are also some legal limits on laden weight of unbraked trailers, which you will need to know for your particular vehicle.

If towing would be done at higher speeds, there is a high risk that the car being towed would crash into the towcar if it has to brake quickly. Note that this is not the actual weight, it's derived by adding the vehicle's maximum weight and the trailer's maximum weight together. Vehicles go through rigorous testing to determine tow ratings.
