These weekends which the rest of the country takes for granted are not our own anymore. We have 4 days off each month for many of our rotations during residency. This means that we work 27/31 days in a month. You hit the nail on the head. I work for a subsidiary of iHeartMedia, which also went officially bankrupt last week. Our company makes plenty of revenue, but due to the debt incurred during the leveraged buyout, it not enough to cover the insanely large interest payments on the debt.
