I come from a family of farmers and so went to an agricultural college, however I also have asthma which can make certain parts of agriculture a bit of a pain in the arse. The college knew this and had dealt with asthmatic students before so I thought I be okay, I wasn agriculture lecturers treated me as if I was putting it on to avoid lectures, they would see me having an attack, laugh and walk away. I had a pretty severe attack while in the dairy unit milking cows at 4am in the rain (probably the worst place for me to be as an asthmatic) and was begrudgingly sent back to the dorms, on my own, then was shouted at by the wardens for being out of the dairy unit..
