For the front end: I no front end expert, but I don think it that common to actually deploy different components of a front end application separately. For webapps which are designed around server side rendering, one possible pattern is to have a "shell" that proxies requests to different content services. These services would be "back end" in the sense that the user doesn contact them directly, but "front end" in the sense that their job is to render HTML, to which the shell then adds headers, footers, common navigation elements, and so on..
